Our Story

This is Our Story...

In 1999, GHNI began its first project when founders, Hal and Lana Jones, visited an Afghan refugee camp in Pakistan to volunteer. Their efforts made a large impact on the nearly three million refugees there.

This first project, set the stage for additional work. Global Hope Network International was launched with the purpose of, “Bringing help and hope to the hidden and hurting.” GHNI was officially founded in 2000, and received the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization status in 2003.

Since then, over 100 projects have opened doors to bring sustainable solutions and transformational assistance to communities in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Transformational Community Development was quickly established as our method of sustainable development and is used today to lift villagers out of cyclical poverty.

In 2012, GHNI was given special consultative status by the United Nations.

Will you join us in helping the poorest villages of the world transform themselves?
